Support for Foster Families in Lewis County
Lewis County Foster Parents Association
The LCFPA, a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization, has served Lewis Co. Foster Parents and the children living in their homes for over 10 years. The LCFPA Outreach Center holds the Clothing Outlet, a fully stocked, free of charge, clothing bank where all sizes of clothing, shoes, undergarment, diapers, etc. are offered to fostering families year round. In addition, the LCFPA offers the following: scholarships for trainings for Foster Parents; camp/mission trip scholarships to hundreds of children; household goods to children aging out of the system and a multitude of crafting supplies. The LCFPA publishes a monthly newsletter; holds monthly support meetings; hosts trainings each month (approved for relicensing requirements) and hosts several fun family events throughout the year. The entire list of accomplishments has been done exclusively through volunteer support and by fundraisers.
